
Supervision
The weekend laborer works under the general supervision of the Deputy Director. Work is reviewed through periodic meetings, review of reports, and for compliance with policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to take and follow directions.
- Must be able to work non-traditional hours.
- Must be able to work in and communicate to a crowd of people.
- Must be able to work outside in all conditions for an extended amount of time.
- Must be able to lift or pull 40 pounds or more.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Empty and change trash can liners.
- Pick up loose trash.
- Chalk fields.
- Rake baseball fields.
- Unclog toilets.
- Clean Restrooms.
- Pump water off any saturated field.
- Set bases and pitching mounds.
- Set up and take down volleyball nets.
- Set up and break down tables and chairs.
- Sweep or dust mop floor.
- Zip tie soccer or lacrosse nets.
- Any other job duties as deemed necessary by direct supervisor (deputy director).
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferred education: high school diploma/GED.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to deal with patrons in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with staff and the public to promote and maintain high moral and enthusiasm.
- Versatility and flexibility.
- Currently certified in First Aid and CPR or able to receive certification within 45 days of accepting position.
Salary Range
- $9 to $15 hourly pay.
