Hammond AreaRecreation District No. 1 (H.A.R.D. #1) is proud to announce it has beenawarded a grant through Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) to receive five newtrash receptacles for Chappapeela Sports Park. This marks the secondconsecutive year the District has been recognized by KLB for its ongoingefforts to maintain clean, litter-free spaces for the thousands of families whovisit our park.
ChappapeelaSports Park, a beautiful facility located at 19325 Hipark Blvd in Hammond,serves as the hub of youth and adult recreation in the Tangipahoa Parish area.On any given weekend, hundreds of families gather on our fields and courts tocheer on their kids, connect with neighbors, and enjoy the best that Hammondhas to offer.

The five newreceptacles will be strategically placed throughout the park to make it easierfor visitors to dispose of waste responsibly. The addition builds on theDistrict's existing beautification efforts and directly supports Keep LouisianaBeautiful's statewide mission to reduce litter, promote recycling, and inspirecommunity pride.
